Herwin Roerdink has been appointed as partner with Vondst advocaten as of 1 February 2017. He specializes in intellectual property law, with a specific focus on (online) marketing and data. Herwin advises and litigates on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights in various sectors, including FMCG, retail, IT en media and entertainment. In these sectors, as well as the health care, construction and financial sector, data plays an increasingly prominent role in the development and marketing of products and services. Herwin advises clients on the use of data, for instance for (online) marketing, and data protection aspects. He also represents clients in enforcement proceedings against the authorities (Authority for Consumers & Markets and the Data Protection Authority).
